If you're like me, you've been a Craig's List fiend since the day the first bulletin posted. But what about Freecycle? Unlike CL, everything on freecycle is, well, free. And so it would seem a fantastic place to pick up all things secondhand baby, right?
Well, if you really are like me, the ten-million postings a day offering "free busted-up concrete!" and "broken patio chairs" offered on freecycle might be a bit on the daunting side. But just when I was ready to give up, a post shot up offering a free Kelty backpack carrier for Lucy--just what Chris and I had been looking for! We shot off an email, only to learn it was spoken for. The owner kindly said she would be in touch should the first taker fall through...and fall through they did! So we are now the proud owners of a slighty beat up but thoroughly usable Kelty child carrier! New, it costs $160.00. Now, I call that a bargain.
